My name is Adam and I am first and foremost a musician.

I began playing drums at a young age in a small town Minnesota band. We loved metal music, especially power metal bands such as Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, etc. While a lot of my current musical influence is not drawn from these bands, they were how I got started. We would drive to the big city in order to see our favorite artists at a venue called 'Station 4'. Unfortunately this venue no longer exists, but many memories still remain for thousands of metalheads.

My friends and I started a band with the name 'Azurewind' which eventually evolved into 'Stormlight' (a time before Brandon Sanderson released his Stormlight Archive novels). You can probably find a few random videos on youtube of our performances. We eventually ended up being an opening band for a Norwegian prog-metal band called 'Pagan's Mind'. While this was pretty big for us, the band had to disband in order to pursue university education.

I ended up going to university for music and learned a lot about composition and theory which are currently aiding me in my present creations. At the time I was still drumming in a different local band called 'Chronocide'. We played a lot more gigs than even my original band and even did a small tour of the surrounding states. While I have many memories of this band, it eventually had to be disbanded as I was going to be moving to Minneapolis permanently once university was over.

It was at this point in time that I needed to take a hiatus from music and art as I craved financial stability and the crushing weight of student debt was a big burden I wanted to get rid of. Thus began the decade+ hiatus.

In 2024 I achieved my goal and began turning my sights back to music which has led me to start the 'Dream I Die' project.
